Our Values Principles Our Actions
Participation Collaboration Expand community participation structures and mechanisms. Actively involve communities, community groups and other regions in strategic and service planning. Develop meaningful, robust partnerships and strategic alliances with other regions to deliver state-wide services.
Equity Improve access to services and programs including to prevention and health promotion. Prioritise the Aboriginal Health Strategy. Support intersectoral action on the broad determinants of health. Work in partnership with community groups in order to gain access to and the trust of disadvantaged groups.

Diversity Develop a Diversity friendly health service strategy. Recruit and develop the Aboriginal workforce. Provide cultural competency training for staff. Pilot new approaches to cater for diversity e.g. maternal care for refugee women.
Respect Develop and maintain organisational culture that reflects trust, courtesy, cooperation, sensitivity and open communication.
Care and compassion Focus on the individuals experience in the redesign of service delivery. Recognise and reward compassion and care in staff recognition programs.
