• He died in 1934 of Tuberculosis.
• After his death Russia denied any connection to
  his work.
• Vygotskys work was not recognized in the US
  until the 1960s.

Scaffolding TheoryLearning as Cognitive Process

• Zone of proximal development refers to the
  distance between the most difficult task a child
  can do alone and the most difficult task a child
  can complete with support/ help.
• Scaffolding is the evaluation of a childs
  development, and the building on what they
  already know.
