IRC Charge Revised
  • Increased emphasis on training for both new and
    continuing librarians, and
  • Consistent application of policies and guidelines
    across teams
  • In conjunction with the Team Leaders, ensuring
    consistent application of existing policies and
    guidelines across teams
  • Providing foundation syllabi for ongoing use in
    training new information resource managers in the
    Librarys policies, procedures, and tools for
    collection management and development. IRC also
    develops materials to support the education of
    all information resource managers in the area of
    library-wide policy and guideline changes that
    occur throughout the year.
  • Ensuring that information resource managers
    receive appropriate training and are able to
    apply IRC policies and guidelines to their work
    effectively.
