• Problem
• Several thousand rules (marine doctrines)
  determine the tasks the staff of a military ship
  has to perform. The rules apply to people from
  the chief officer to the sea man.
• The rules exist somehow and somewhere.
• How do we structure the rules in order to have
  the right information available at the right
  time?
• How do we visualise/present the results of an
  inference?
• How do we visualise the interrelation between
  rules, in order to inform the user, why a
  specific action has to be performed?
• How do we present the relevant information to
  the user?
• Looks like a technical problem but we have to
  think about visualisation, since people have to
  be confident with the proposed actions, i.e. they
  have to understand, why something should be done.
