Grading Policy
Homework 20 Pop Quizzes 15 Tests 50
Semester Final 15

Homework 20 of Grade
Most homework will either PowerPoint or
Worksheet When grading, ask questions, write
down all work, receive credit for the
problem. Late Policy 20 off the top 0
points at the end of the quarter 2 or missing or
late assignments in a quarter means a minus for
participation.

Pop Quizzes 15 of Grade
Pop Quiz usually once a week 8 -12 questions
over recently covered material. Good chance to
get Bonus points. Example An 8 question pop quiz
will be counted out of 7 points. No retakes. If
you miss a pop quiz, you will not need to make
up.

Test 50 of Grade
  • A test will occur at the end of each chapter.
  • A review session will happen the day before a
    test.
  • Retakes are available on tests.
  • Within 1 week of original test
  • Score higher than original, the average of the
    two tests is taken
  • Unless, you score gt80 on retake, and the average
    is less than 80, you get 80.
  • Do worse on the original, grade stays the same.

Semester Final 15 of Grade
  • Given at the end of the 2nd and 4th quarters.
  • A review packet will be given a week before the
    test.
  • Retakes are not available.
  • Covers all material from the two quarters prior
    to test.

Honor Society
  • Cooperates and Participates
  • Check given for normal behavior
  • Minus given for two or more late or missing
    assignments, not coming to class with needed
    materials, being disruptive in class.
  • Plus given for going above others in
    participating.
  • Shows Ownership for learning
  • Check given for normal behavior
  • Minus given for failing to retake tests when done
    poorly, for letting absences turn into missing
    assignments.
  • Plus given for showing a positive attitude and
    working to you highest ability.
