What is E-medicine?

• online clinical medical knowledge base founded in
  1996. by Scott Plantz and Richard Lavely
  medical doctors
• nowadays the largest and most current clinical
  medical base consists of clinical overviews of
  diseases wrote by experts
• The original open access comprehensive medical
  textbook for all clinical fields.
• sold to WebMD in January 2006.

• over 10 000 physician authors on 7000 diseases
• articles undergoes 4 levels of physician peer
  review plus an additional review by a PharmD
  prior to publication

• It is web-based and consists of clinical
  overviews of disease entities by experts in the
  field.
• It consists of all the major topics that are
  found in each of 62 clinical subspecialties that
  comprise nearly all of clinical medicine.
• Each topic is written by a board certified
  subspecialist in the subspecialty to which the
  chapter-like article is assigned, and edited by
  three additional board certified subspecialists,
  as well as a pharmacy editor.

  publication system designed specifically for the
