5Evaporation
- The sun heats up water in lakes, rivers, and
oceans and the water is then transported into the
air through vapors or steam. - Just like the steam that you see
- coming from a tea kettle.

6Condensation
- Once the steam or vapors in the air get cold, it
changes back into a liquid and forms clouds.

- When there is so much water that is condensed in
the air, the air cannot hold it anymore and it
returns back to the earth through rain, sleet,
hail, or snow.
