• Gongshu Zhang will be at Surry Community College
  on January 14, 2003 from 900 1200 to discuss
  AYP.

• Title I LEA Plan is required that explains
  currently used practices.
• Annual evaluation of practices must be included.

• Raises standards for teachers and
  paraprofessionals (teaching assistants and paid
  tutors)
• Requirements must be met by 2005-2006 school
  year.
• The Surry County School System has a plan in
  place for meeting these requirements.

  the licensure and degree requirements.
• No teachers have emergency credentials.

• 59 are pursuing training to meet the
  requirements.
• The remainder do not plan to continue employment

  2005-2006 school year.
