Implementation Structure

• Overall communications activities for NDP/CSF
  undertaken by the NDP/CSF Information Office
• OP MA responsible for implementing publicity
  information requirements for OPs (assisted by the
  NDP/CSF Information Office)
• Implementing bodies responsible for meeting the
  requirements for specific measures they manage.

Aims of Communications actions undertaken will be
to 

• Promote a greater public understanding of the
  objectives and achievements of the NDP and the EU
  Structural Funds in Ireland
• Support the successful implementation of the the
  NDP/CSF/OPs and individual measures
• Ensure that information is available to
  applicants and beneficiaries and
• Give due recognition to the role of the EU
  Structural Funds and, as appropriate, individual
  Funds.

• NDP requirements apply to all measures
• EU requirements apply to co-financed measures

How?

• Specific requirements for NDP and EU Activities
• Implementing bodies should define how they are
  going to meet requirements
• Progress on implementing requirements reported to
  Monitoring Committee and Communications Group.
• Reporting Template actions for previous 3
  months and actions planned for next 3 months

Specfic requirements

• Commemorative Plaques infrastructure projects
  whose cost greater than EUR 1 million (EUR
  500,000 for FIFG)

  cost is greater than EUR 1 million (EUR 500,000
  for FIFG)
• Poster should be displayed in appropriate centres
  to inform beneficiaries of the role of the EU in
  human resources, vocational training and
  employment, investment in firms rural
  development

Compliance

• Compliance will be examined during audit visits
• Need to be able to demonstrate how you complied
  with Regulation

  requirements
• Report on actions to Monitoring Committees and
  Communications Group

• Local Media Press and Radio a key focus for
  promoting progress on the NDP
• Curtin Communications under contract to the
  NDP/CSF Information Office to promote progress in
  the Local Media
• Notify details of events/progress of projects for
  promotion in local media through the NDP/CSF
  Information Office.
