Lead Teacher for Special Ed / General Ed
Coordination

• Promote best practices in educating students with
  special needs
• Supports and fosters coordination between special
  and general education teachers

  Intervention model (RTI)
• Assist in the collection of data as a
  pre-referral strategy
• Provide staff development for teachers of
  integrated classrooms

Two Teaching Assistants for Computer Labs

• Support grade level expectations in technology at
  the elementary level
• Assist teachers bringing whole classes into
  computer labs
• Provide technical support to the schools
• Provide opportunities for partial classes to come
  to the lab for activities such as keyboarding

Reading Teacher

• Address additional need for reading support at
  Glen Worden and Glendaal
• Facilitate the implementation of the Response To
  Intervention (RTI) model
• Provide more equity in reading support at our
  four elementary schools

Grade 4 and 5

• We are presently at our maximum student
  enrollment in grade 4 and 5
• Provides opportunity for more students, including
  those who transfer during the school year, to
  enter into the YS program

• Three sections of fifth grade at Glendaal are
  moving to the Middle School
• No impact on personnel - absorbed by attrition
• Projected loss of 32 students at the elementary
