Introduction

• The experiences I share at this workshop relate
  to my development practice in Malawi and other
  countries
• There are many players with interest in issues of
  climate change in Malawi
• In this paper I share some experiences in
  monitoring in general with examples from
  Christian service committee

Lessons on M E

• Generally M E operates well if integrated
  within operational units rather than keep them as
  separate units
• Usually people measure what is easier than what
  is important
• An M E Framework enhances sysyematic monitoring
  and evaluation when well executed

Recommendations

• There is need to develop a Monitoring and
  Evaluation Framework, along side the Capacity
  Building Framework, which should be used by all
  stakeholders to capture information relating to
  capacity building programmes in climate change.
