Process Continued
  • Session Four
  • Your final assignment.
  • Pretend you are in charge of a 4th grade pizza
    party. Using fraction circle manipulatives,colore
d pencils, a pizza worksheet, and the pizza
topping key, you will need to create an original
pizza math problem. The 4th grade will need 8
large pizzas (12 slices per pizza - 96 slices
    total).
  • Link to all the final project worksheets
  • 1. Use the fraction circles to make your
pizzas. (Cover all 8 pizzas with a variety of
fraction pieces - DONT USE YELLOW OR BLUE
    PIECES).
  • 2. Use colored pencils to make a drawing of
your pizzas. (Trace each piece and color in
that fractional amount on your worksheeet).
  • 3. Make a math problem for each pizza you
created. (This is like the challenge problem you
did with the Tonys Pizza game).
  • 4. Combine all of your totals on the pizza
    order form.
  • 5. See if you can use this data to create one
final math problem that will tell the pizza place
your entire order with one equation.
  • (Ex 8/2 cheese 3/3 pepperoni 7/4 sausage
    3/6 onion 2/8 olive 6/12
    ham 8 whole pizzas)
  • 6. Turn in your work and give yourself a
    pat on the back!
