The History of Tocobaga Where and How they
lived

• The Tocobaga lived in small villages at the
  northern end of Tampa Bay from the 900 to the
  1500s.
• The villages arranged a public area where they
  had meetings.

WHAT THEY ATE

• The Tocobagas source of food was shellfish.
• They drank both the bay and freshwater streams.

TOOLS

• The Tocobaga also constructed many tools for
  hunting, cooking, and eating.
• One tool was called adz they also made a
  throwing stick that was called a atlat.

What Happened to the Tocobaga

• The Tocobaga people caught a disease and died.
• Violence to the tribes people killed them off in
  about a 100 years
