    Education and Safety program grant

  • We receive state funding to serve a total of
    148,830 students during the school year or 841
    students per regular school day

  • Schedule Monday Friday, every regular school
    day, from the end of school until 600pm

  • Program implementation must be collaborative
  • Must have partnerships

  • Staff in supervisory positions must meet the No
    Child Left Behind requirements of the District
    for an instructional aid position
  • Student to staff ratio must be no more than 201
  • Provide at least 33 cash or in-kind local
    matching fund
  • Provide a nutritious snack per Ed Code 49430

Grant Requirements
  • Use 85 of funds for Direct Service and 15 for
    Administrative purposes
  • Meet at least 85 of total attendance to receive
    100 of funding award
  • Submit data to the State as part of an annual
    evaluation process
