2Introduction
- Shanghai,also called Hu or Shen, situated in
the middle of Chinas east coastline, is a gate
to the Changiang River Valley. - It is the largest economic and trade center in
the country and a comprehensive industrial base.
- Shanghai is one of the leading port in China.
- Its total area is 6,341 sq. km.
- Total population is over 13 million.
- Shanghai has a delightful climate with four
distinct seasons.

5Huangpu River
It ranges 114 km from Dingshan Lake, although it
is only about 400m 9m deep, it sustains about
1/3 of the Chinas total international trade and
the river is the blood of Shanghai.
6Shanghai Museum
The Shanghai Museum at the Peoples Square is the
possession of a collection of 123,000 cultural
artifacts in 21 categories, with this big
varieties, it explains why the Museum can attract
so many visitors from other parts of the world.
7The Oriental Pearl TV Tower
It is the Worlds Third Tallest TV and Radio
Tower, with commerce, recreation, educational
facilities.
8Dr. Sun YatSens Former Residence
The great forerunner of Chinas Democratic
Revolution Dr. Sun and his wife, Madam Soong
lived and worked here for the revolution from
1918 to 1924.
9The Bund
- By the glittering Huang Pu River, stands one
after another, the tall and huge architecture
showing an air of prosperity for the oriental
city Shanghai and this is Bund, well known to
the world, being the symbol of Shanghai.

12Conclusion
Over the first six months, Shanghai chalked up a
GDP volume of 341.77 billion RMB, up 14.8
compared with the same period of last year. With
a significant growth of GDP, flights are now
available in Macau. A stay in Shanghai becomes
one of the best choice for short trip in South
East Asia.
