Foliages Serve Several Functions in Floral
Arrangements

• Helps to cover the mechanics of the arrangement
• Forms the shape and style of the design
• Serves as a contrast to the flowers

Floral Designers utilize foliages in various ways

• Designers can begin their arrangements with
  either flowers or foliages depending on their
  personal style.
• Most arrangements have two or more foliages that
  are used.

• Foliages add texture, shape, and colors to the
  arrangements.

• Some floral arrangements are solely made up of
  foliages.
