Process Planning

• Definition
• Process planning is the function in a
  manufacturing facility that establishes which
  processes and parameters are to be used, as well
  as the machines performing these processes.
• The act of preparing detailed work instruction to
  machine or assemble a part or parts.
• Goal
• To convert a rough billet to a part in final form
  as specified in an engineering drawing.
