    associated with each event
  • Provide the location of online manuals and
    documentation

4
Start of the Year Procedures
  • School schedules are finalized and created in
    SASIxp.
  • Archive last years IGPro data.
  • Verify template.gbf files are present in IGPro
    folder.
  • School SASIxp/IGPro staff run IGPro Data
    Exchange.
  • Teachers create gradebooks.
  • Teachers set grading rules.

5
School schedules are finalized and created in
SASIxp.
  • Important notes
  • Exports via the IGPro data exchange should never
be made until scheduling is complete (all
    sections are created).
  • Scheduling changes made throughout the school
year may result in duplicate classes being added
to a teachers class roster file. IGPro never
    deletesit only appends!
  • Tell-Tale sign this has occurred? Teachers see
duplicate courses in their gradebooks, one with
an end-of-term spreadsheet and one without.

6
School archives last years IGPro data.
  • Steps to backup data from previous years
  • Open My Computer
  • Go to K\NCSAPPS\IGPro
  • Right-click the IGPData folder.
  • Choose Rename.
  • Rename the folder IGPData2008.
  • Create a new folder named IGPData.
  • Create a new folder called Gradebook Archives.
  • Move IGPData2008 folder into Gradebook Archives
    folder.

7
Verify template.gbf files are present in IGPro
folder.
  • Steps to Verify template.gbf files are present
  • Go to K\NCSAPPS\IGPro
  • Locate template.gbf file
  • Do not modify or change the file, simply verify
    its existence.
  • Background information The template.gbf file
    contains weighted numeric spreadsheets and
associated grading rules for calculating semester
    and yearly averages.

8
School SASIxp/IGPro staff run IGPro Data
Exchange.
  • Background information
  • SASIxp creates a CL.grd file in each teacher
folder. This is the teachers class roster file.
  • As changes are made to teachers rosters through
the addition of students the data exchange must
be run to update IGPro gradebooks. Teachers
    should not add students manually.

9
Teachers create gradebooks.
  • Directions for creating gradebooks are located in
    grade specific IGPro manuals.
  • Common Errors made during gradebook creation
  • Teachers fail to select option to store
gradebooks locally. To correct, open gradebook
and go to Edit, Preferences. Remove the check in
    Use IntegradePro Server.
  • Teachers fail to save their gradebook to the
corresponding teacher folder on the K drive.

10
Teachers set grading rules for classes with
weighted calculations.
  • Grading rules may be viewed by selecting Setup,
Grading Rules. Choose the Type Sets Tab.
  • Teachers may modify weightings assigned in the
    Elementary or Secondary columns.
  • Teachers may add additional Type Sets (columns)
    for classes requiring different weights.
  • Teachers may add additional Types (row headings).
  • Teachers may not modify type sets or types
utilized to calculate semester and yearly
averages. If in doubt, dont delete or rename
    it!

11

  • Teachers calculate averages and copy scores to
    End-of-Term spreadsheets.
  • Teachers export grades from end-of-term
    spreadsheets.

    to bring scores into SASIxp.
  • Teachers verify grades in ClassXP.
  • School SASIxp/IGPro staff print report cards.

assignment. See Tasks, Edit Tasks, Points Tab.
    Is the total zero?
  • Teachers assign task to the wrong task type. See
Tasks, Edit Tasks, Points Tab. What type is

Teachers export grades from End-Of-Term
spreadsheets.
  • Common mistakes and important notes
  • Teachers fail to do the export. They believe
they are finished once they have copied grades to
    the End-of-Term spreadsheet. Solution Check
the date on the export file in their IGPro
teacher folder. Export files appear as MK.grd
    files.
  • Teachers export to the wrong location. Exports
should be saved in their teacher folder.
  • An errolog.imk file is created upon initiation of
the export. As there are no grades assigned to
    homeroom, it will always appear.

17
School SASIxp/IGPro staff run IGPro Data
Exchange.
  • Background information
  • SASIxp pulls the MK.grd file located in each
    teachers folder.
  • Grades and comments are available immediately
    available for viewing in ClassXP.
  • If grades are missing or incorrect, check the
    errolog.amk files.

18
Final Steps
  • Teachers verify grades in ClassXP.Teachers
should always login to ClassXP and verify the
    accuracy of exported grades.
  • School SASIxp/IGPro staff print report cards.
