• Know how to use the main Census Bureau
  demographic database American Factfinder, and
• Have hands-on experience finding information in
  American Factfinder.

What is Demographic Information?

• The characteristics that define a population
• Can include age, sex, ethnicity, race, ancestry,
  marital status, occupation, income, and
  education.
• Usually limited to a geographic area.
