Role of the CEAA
  • Implements program evaluation for Electrical
    Engineering, Computer Engineering and related
    programs (through EAB)
  • Selects and trains program evaluators
  • Coordinates assignment of evaluators to programs
  • Reviews evaluator reports and works to assure
    consistency in evaluations
  • Reviews evaluator performance (based on report,
    team chair, program head)
  • Reviews Program Criteria
  • Provides input to IEEE/EAB and ABET/EAC on
    changes in General Criteria and procedures

Evaluator Training
  • Present ABET-wide training program originated
    with CEAA
  • Two CEAA members on EAC are responsible for
    updating
  • CEAA delivers 2 or 3 training sessions each year

  • All draft reports are read by two CEAA members
  • Individual feedback provided to Evaluators
  • Program problem areas are identified to CEAA
  • Possible individual Evaluation problems are
    followed up with ABET Team Chairs
