• How much of each type of resource is needed for
  each period in the existing schedule?
• Answer For each period, sum the resources that
  are being used simultaneously

• Is it possible to minimize the period-by-period
  fluctuations in resource loading?
• Answer Yes! There are two ways to create a
  smoother distribution of resource usage
• 1. Shift tasks within their slack allowances
• 2. Extend the duration of the project
