Status of MKUZA II Process (1)

• After Completion of the ToR (end of September),
  the following have been implemented
• Commissioned 17 studies
• 5 are completed (Population dynamics, Value Chain
  Analysis, and Science Technology, HIV and AIDS,
  Youth Entrepreneurship)
• 12 studies are still ongoing
• In response to MKUZA process, UNESCO has
  sponsored a study on Conservation of Stone Town
• Completion not later than 15th Dec

Emerging Issues (1)

• MKUZA II should be ready in time so as to inform
  the next Budget Cycle.
• Regular capacity building arrangements to the DT
  is necessary ( in harmonising cross cutting
  issues, e.g. population issues, HIV and AIDS and
  in understanding the modified structure of MKUZA
  II (Core Cluster Strategies Vs Intervention
  Package).
