  • Find out what kids are interested in
  • Make sure that youve read the book
  • Choose a book that others will like
  • Practice
  • Write page numbers an notes on a stickie

  • Share a strong lead
  • Tell about book, but dont give away secrets
  • Mention other books by the same authorseries
  • Dont get confusing
  • Tell title, author and why you chose to share it
  • Show book around, but dont fidget with it
  • Read a passage

How to Give a Book Talk
  • Look at everyone.
  • Speak loudly so all can hear.
  • Talk about the characters, the problem in the
    story, or some interesting information.
  • Read a small part of the book to interest the
    readers.
  • Get the readers interested in the book.
