Charlies Letter about AG

Excerpt from Original Newspaper article
  • Phares made the comment in the original newspaper
article that the evidence room had been cleaned
up and was much better now that honest
    administrators and proper procedures are
followed. During this next presentation judge
for yourself. I would have never allowed this
type of procedure to occur. I also never
allowed a student worker to remove anything from
the evidence room (see obliviously a glitch with
    the Glock)
  • Officers who knew me were upset at these comments
and the transfer in 1995, these next photographs
were taken by the late Lt. Vickie Wax on
12/12/97, during the improved period of the
    evidence room.
  • The photos take you from the hallway outside the
evidence room to the basement area underneath.
You will see this is a non-secure area. You will
also see DNA and other bodily fluids obliviously
    mixed with others suspects clothing.
  • If this is improvement, obliviously I dont
    understand the English language.

After all this
  • The next presentation is what the DA will now
stipulate to, if this information would have been
provided by the various judicial branches, do you
think we would have still been arrested and
    fired? Here it comes!

And the really embarrassing stuff!
  • I believe the whole purpose of this investigation
was to rid the Baton Rouge Police Department of
Robert McGehee, Tommy Morrison got in the way
when he wouldnt tell a lie about the facts of
the case. So what does xxx rated tapes that came
out of the dumpster at Headquarters, after being
disposed of by us, have to do with missing
firearms? Absolutely nothing!!! How would that
play out in the media? Great, everyone likes to
hear about sex, guns and drugs right? So I
believe that was thrown in as lagniappe, another
way of grabbing the publics attention in the
fight for a pure and just fatherland. Sounds kind
of Nazi doesnt it? But is the tactics used just
recently in the Lee Shelton case mirror the Nazis
and KGB? So the next presentation will explain
the xxx rated tapes seized in the course their
    investigation.

Letter from the late Lt. Vernet E. Johnson Sr.

Deeper into the explanation now
  • For years, evidence room personal have had to
discard items ordered to be disposed of by the
courts. Some items like money are turned over to
the City-Parish, other items like narcotics are
incinerated, still other items of bulk are
disposed of in the trash. Firearms are forfeited
by the courts or in the early days merely dropped
in the Mighty Mississippi River. Now they are
    melted into manhole covers.
  • Video and audio tapes are simply thrown in the
trash. At the time of a court order disposal,
everyone knows it, its hard not to notice, there
are bags of trash everywhere, including but no
    limited to video tapes.
  • Police officers and Detectives would routinely go
through the dumpsters in search of something
useful. The big find item would be tools,
crowbars, screwdrivers, hammers, etc. But no one
would pass up an xxx-rated video either.
  • In 1990, a friend of mine was called up to serve
in Desert Storm, he left me with among a lot of
other things his xxx-collection. These are the
tapes I would trade with Vernet. Vernet was among
the many who had retrieved tapes, both audio and
video out of the dumpster. Hence the file numbers
on the tapes. However, I myself had gotten a
couple and taped mainstream movies over them, one
such was a Roger Moore movie. I got that one
    back, go figure.
