What is Street Angels?

• Street Angels is a national initiative that was
  born from within the Christian communities of
  this country to offer a non-judgemental listening
  ear, and practical support to the vulnerable in
  the night time economy.
• Launched in 2005 in Halifax under the leadership
  of Paul and Jean Blakey

What has Street Angels discovered?

• A reduction of Anti-social behaviour and Violent
  Crime.
• A pleasant atmosphere in the towns of this
  country.
• 42 reduction in Halifax each Friday and
  Saturday evening.

How it all started?

• July 2008 the initial email.
• November 2008 a meeting with the Watford Town
  Centre Chaplaincy.
• March 2009
• Now
• Saturday 6th March 2010 First Year celebration

A typical night

• 10.00pm - Welcome and prayer of commission
• 10.30pm 12.00am First Street Patrol
• 12.00am 12.30am Back at base for
  refreshments
• 12.30am ? Second Street Patrol
• Ending by 3.00am
