SLIDE TIPS(What NOT to do.)
  • Use color combinations that the eye can see
  • Do not try to put too much text on your slide
    because then the students spend their time trying
    to read and you are trying to keep the rate of
    your presentation in sync with their reading
    speed and this messes both of you up. Also, do
    not reduce font size to fit more text on the
    screen as this will make your slide even harder
    to read. The Gettysburg Address is TOO LONG to
    fit on the page and use as part of your
    presentation even though it may be one of our
    favorite historical documents. An audio of the
    Address, however, might be a good idea.
  • Put your information on one line at a time

Beware of cute slide transitions - They are not
your friends!
