2Target Audience
- This instructional presentation is designed for
high school students enrolled in the Graphic
Communications Class. - Students are homogeneous 15 to 18 years of age,
9th grade 12th grade. - Students have diverse learning styles.
- Students computer skills vary from beginners to
very experienced.

5Screen Saver Objectives
- Students will be able to
- Demonstrate Digital Camera Operations.
- Transfer digital photography into a screen saver
program. - Incorporate music into screen saver program.
- Demonstrate your personal screen saver program.
6Project Overview
- You will create a personal screen saver called
Life at Largo High School to install on your
personal computer. - You will learn to take
- digital pictures, load
- them into the computer,
- add music and text.
7Digital Photography
- Communicates information, feelings or emotions,
special events to the viewer. - Photo Examples Friends, Teachers, LHS Class
Activities, Cars and School Events.
8Screen Saver Photo Activity
- Permission will be obtained to capture the
natural activities and interaction of friends
during the regular class period. - You will download 5075 digital pictures to the
computer Screen Saver program.
9Screen Saver Computer Activity
- You must edit and modify each picture, add text,
use special effects, save files. -
- Find an appropriate music sound track attach
the file to the screen saver program. - Test run the screen saver, modify save.
10Create a CR-ROM Activity
- You will need Three (3) CR-RW Discs.
- Create one test copy install test new screen
saver on a computer, - Burn one copy as a backup.
- Create one original for the instructor, turn-in
for Final evaluation.

95 A Screen Saver is outstanding, demonstrates mastery of skills, 70 excellent pictures or more. 9094 A-
8689 B Screen Saver is above average, Demonstrates mastery of skills, at least 60 excellent pictures. 8085 B
7679 C Screen Saver is satisfactory, all basic requirements have been completed with 50 pictures min. 7075 C
6669 D Screen Saver is below average, most requirements completed, less than 40 pictures included. 6065 D
12Individual Project Summary
- You are able to Create Digital Pictures.
- Transfer Save them to a computer file.
- You have learned to Edit and Modify.
- You can Produce Present a Screen Saver Story to
your friends and relatives.
13Instructional Project Summary
- This knowledge will empower you to create digital
photography and save the pictures to your
computer. - This experience gives you the ability to capture
your high school or any experience and construct
permanent records on CD-ROMs.

apply for with this knowledge. - Research additional books, articles, Internet
