  • Mr. Silberman

2
Cardiovascular Work
  • Cardio increases heart rate.
  • One type of cardio work is biking.

3
Stretching
  • Stretching is important to loosen muscles before
    workout.

4
Chest Work
  • One type of chest work is the incline press.

5
Triceps
  • A good way to work triceps is by doing push- ups.

6
Biceps
  • Biceps are the most popular muscle group to work
out due to the fact that you see results quickly
    with them.
  • Any curling motion is a good workout for biceps.

7
Shoulders
  • Shoulder strength is an important part of working
out because it lessens the chance of injury when
    working out another muscle group.
  • A good workout for shoulders is a military press,
    shoulder press, or pull-up

8
Back
  • As part of your core strength, the back muscles
are very important to work out for benefiting
your other muscle groups and posture.
  • A good workout for back is a rowing motion or
    hyperextension.

9
Legs
  • There are three major muscle groups to work in
the legs (Quadriceps, Hamstrings and Calf).
These are very difficult considering the
increased amount of weight used in lifts.
  • A good leg workout includes Squats, Leg Press,
Leg Extension, Leg Curl and Calf Raises.

10
Abs
  • The other base of core strength in the body are
    the abs.
  • Abs are the slowest muscle to develop (and
    therefore the most frustrating)
  • Abs are the only muscle that can be worked out
everyday due to the fast recovery time.
  • A good workout for abs are sit-ups and crunches.

11
Explanation
  • These are just a few examples of exercises that
can be used in the workout design.
  • There are a multitude of other exercises that can
    be used.
  • For example There are over 10 ways to do a
    bicep curl.
  • Be creative when coming up with exercises to use,
watch how people work out in a gym and if they do
something you havent seen or you like please ask
them what it is and how its done.
  • Only design a workout you would do yourself.
