Fields Trips
  • Walking tours of Pittsburgh
  • April 3rd,4th,5th,6th, 7th
  • 20-24 students per day cost 5 AND YOUR
    TRANSPORTATION
  • ( If you miss the tour a 8 page paper must be
    completed) Students who complete the tour will be
    tested on the material the following week )
  • Heinz History Center date March 27th

Semester Projects
  • Required to pass this course!
  • Paper 4-5 pages on cd or emailed (Word) and a
    hard copy (follow research paper rules
  • 15-20min. Presentation (can be longer , due on
    the day you present late papers lose 20pts. Each
    day). Topics are first come first serve starting
    today. Only Major events will ( death in the
    family, emergency room, etc) will change your
    date
  • Class presentation must have visuals (video,
    posters, power point, hands on materials, etc.)
  • Participation in classroom activities

Reading Assignments
  • Weekly reading assignments. (All from teacher or
    online)
  • Material on exams will include readings even if
    not covered in class notes.
  • You are responsible for getting material if you
    are absent.

Bridge Contest
  • Prizes awarded for best artistic design, weight
    held, creativity, replica bridge, group design
    project

Midterm and Final Exam
  • Midterm Date -March 24th
  • Final Exam Date - May15th
  • Dates may change due to schedule changes, you
    will be notified in a timely manner.
