FACULTY OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCES
  • ABOUT US
  • The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences was
formed in 1 August 1996 following the
restructuring of the Department of Biomedical
Sciences from the Faculty of Veterinary and
Health Sciences, the Department of Nutrition and
Community Health from the Faculty of Human
Ecology, and a new department, the Department of
    Medical Sciences.
  • During inception, the faculty was known as the
Faculty of Biomedicine and Health Sciences. In
September 1997, the name was officially changed
to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences has
moved to a new complex adjacent to Hospital
Serdang which has been modeled as a teaching
    hospital for UPM students.
  • Currently, there are 1527 full time students
    (undergraduate 1247, graduate 280).The faculty

    blocks which house administration section,
lecture halls, seminar rooms, tutorial rooms and
    laboratories.
