  • Public Relations associates help manage and deal
    with their companies clientele.
  • They have to be a very people oriented type of
    person and be able to handle problems very
    smoothly and calmly no matter how bad the
    situation is.

  • PRs also may work with marketing or sales
    promotion people to create ad campaigns to help

  • Most PRs work a 35 to 40 hour work week.
  • However there are exceptions.

  • Irregular schedules to meet certain set
    deadlines.

Qualifications For The Job.
  • A college degree in the field of Public
    Relations.
  • Also with some experience in the field.
  • Such as an internship at a company for a few
    years, so as to gain some hands on knowledge of
    what the job consists of.

  • Being able to talk and communicate with all sorts
    of different types of people is essential in this
    occupation.
  • Having good judgment, being creative, and being
    initiative are also good skills to posses in the
    Public Relation field.

    extensive and formal training on top of the
    degree that is already obtained.

    jobs in the United States.

  • Throughout the next 10 years the job outlook in
    the public relations field is expected to grow
    faster than ever.
  • Because of how firms are starting to grow bigger
    and bigger, the need for more public relations
    people will continue to grow bigger and bigger.

  • The average starting out of a public relations
    degree out of college was 39,000 a year.
  • After a few years of work the average earnings
    for a PR was around 60,000 to 85,000 a year.
  • Depending on where you are employed at.

    computers almost every single day.
  • They often use computers to clock in and out of
    work.
  • They also e-mail to exchange and receive
    information on a day to day basis.

    watch meetings that are being broadcast or watch
    video information that was sent to them.

  • In the end the occupation of public relations is
    an upcoming and fast moving career. Linked with
    the help of computers and new technology this
    career will always be one of importance and
    certainty now and well into the future.
