• Houses in barrios are simple but somewhat
  comfortable.

• Las Gigantonas ,or giant puppets have been a
  tradition in Nicaragua for hundreds of years.

What do they eat?

• In Nicaragua, they eat rice, beans, fried
  bananas, onions, corn, tortillas and plantains,
  because meat is too expensive to eat every day.
• Most Nicaraguans favorite food is gallo pinto,
  a mixture of rice and red beans fried with diced
  onions and tomatoes.
