Elizabeth Blackwell was born on February 3,
1821.She lives in a house with her mom, dad and
her 7 siblings. Shes a smart young lady.

Childhood

Elizabeth Blackwell lives in England. She loves
to learn. Elizabeth is a daddy's girl. The
family hates that boys think they are better then
girls. In October the family 1832 moved to Now
York. The father stared a sugar business. There
was a fire all there was laft was 4 walls. After
the fire the family moved again to Cincinnati
Ohio. The father planned to start the first
sugar rrefinery west of the Allegheny Mountains.

Education
Elizabeth Blackwell went to Geneva Medicine
College in New York State. She graduated with
honors. Elizabeth said she was going to be a
doctor!!

Accomplishments
Elizabeth Blackwell was the first woman doctor
in the world. People told her she could not be a
doctor. But she did not lison. She now she could
be a doctor thats why she word so herd.
Elizabeth found medicine no one had ever found
before.

work because women didnt work back then. In the
1830s her father died.

Elizabeth died in 1990 at the age of 89. She
help a lot of people. She is a nice lady.
