• host servers default home page convention
• asp vs stm vs htm
• underscore folder to ensure easy retrieval in
  directory
• reduce, recycle, reuse! - images, scripts, etc.
• no funky characters in filename or folder name
  except hyphen or underscore

site layout and organization

• operating structure - organized and intuitive
• use the storyboarding technique where
  storyboarding is a small sketch that represents
  every page in a site like a flowchart, a
  storyboard shows the relationship of each page to
  the other pages in the website and are very
  helpful in the planning phase because they allow
  you to visualize how each page in the site is
  linked to others
