5Literacy Speaking Listening to retell stories
in pairs focusing on the sequence of
events. Reading to read and tell a selection of
stories with settings and themes that are
familiar to the children. Writing To use own
experiences to write a story with a familiar
setting and theme. To research features of
posters, collect information and use knowledge to
produce own poster.

SCIENCE To understand that humans and other
animals need food and water to stay alive. To
know and understand that exercise and eating the

communicate ideas and meaning in their own

work and suggest ways of improving their own
