Our group will be leaving New York at 1000 am on
February 2 and will arrive on the island of
Bagana at 1200 noon on February 3rd.

We think that the volcano will explode because
these things have happened

• Inside the Earth between the molten iron core and
  at the surface the crust lays the mantle. When
  the rock in the mantle melts it moves. Causing it
  to release explosive gases making the volcano
  erupt.
• When the magma chamber is full of magma, the
  sides of the volcano bulge outward.
• Usually, there are earthquakes right before a
  volcano is about to erupt. There are gases
  released, like sulfur that smell like rotten
  eggs!
• Tremendous pressures build up beneath the Earths
  thin crust. This churning has split the surface
  into 20 plates, that slowly drift about on the
  mantle. Every now and then, like a shaken bottle
  of soda, hot, liquefied, rock (or magma) squirts
  out the vent of the volcano in the form of lava.
• The volcanos never ending convection current
  causes heat to rise which means that the force
  behind the convection current makes the magma
  rise to the vent of the volcano causing an
  eruption of the now lava.
