The speech

• To uplift women's fallen divinity upon an even
  pedestal with mans and strange as it may seam to
  many we now demand our right to vote according to
  the declaration of the government under which we
  live.This right no one pretends to deny.We need
  not prove ourselves equal to Daniel Webster to
  enjoy this privilege ,for the ignorant Irishman
  in the ditch has all the Civil Rights he has .We
  need not prove our muscular power equal to this
  same Irishmen to enjoy this privilege. We are
  women.

The Seneca Falls Convention

• Elizabeth Cady Stanton started the Seneca Falls
  convention from 1848 1850 .It was held in New
  York city.

The Womens victory

• On November 2,1920 over 8,000,000 women voted
  for the first day in history.Thomas Jefferson had
  proclaimed equality in bedrock of American
  government but it had taken 144 years for women
  to achieve full citizen ship.
