Why IVC?
3Imagine the Possibilities
Videoconferencing amazes me as a tool whereby the
students participate in a program tailored made
to them, the audience. I learn and watch from
their interaction with the presenter and content.

4Imagine the Possibilities
I love having students receive information from
another perspective other than their teacher. I
believe students sometimes understand a concept
better and more thoroughly when the concept is
presented by someone new and who has a different
approach than mine. Anytime a new strategy is
used someone "gets it" who hadn't "gotten it"
before. High School Educator

The program was a great extension for the
students. We do not have a zoo in our town and
some of the children have not had an opportunity
to see the animals that we were shown. There were
things that I learned about mammals that I did
not know that will help me teach about mammals in
the future. The children thoroughly enjoyed it
and the program offered them a differentiated way
of learning. Elementary Educator Indianapolis

9Imagine the Possibilities
Many students lack cultural experiences in terms
of artwork or visiting art museums. By being able
to bring this program to my students, I was able
to eliminate costs for a trip to the museum, and
decreased the amount of time for my students to
spend out of the classroom. The interaction
between the presenters and students was able to
be controlled better than if we were in the
museum. Middle School Educator Indianapolis

How do I find more of these
opportunities?
11Imagine the Possibilities
This program was a great combination of hands on
work and learning new information. The
experiments cemented what was taught and the
material was taught in an exciting, engaging
manner. It covered so many human body standards
and dealt with topics that are sometimes
difficult to teach. This was a wonderful
presentation and my students are so curious and
ready to learn more. While I wouldn't know how to
address the issues of mucus, feces, and sweat,
these topics were handled with grace and
encouraged maturity on the part of my students.
