• Not that I have already attained, or am already
  perfected but I press on, that I may lay hold of
  that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of
  me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have
  apprehended but one thing I do, forgetting those
  things which are behind and reaching forward to
  those things which are ahead

Philippians 312-16

• I press toward the goal for the prize of the
  upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let
  us, as many as are mature, have this mind and if
  in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal
  even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree
  that we have already attained, let us walk by the
  same rule, let us be of the same mind.

Full of Faith

• And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And
  they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the
  Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor,
  Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from
  Antioch. (Acts 65)

For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit
and of faith. And a great many people were added
to the Lord. (Acts 1124)

One Is Not a Faithful Christian Merely Because

• He believes something about Jesus (John 1242,43

• That He lived, taught good things, prophesied,
  and contributed to humanity
• Jehovah Witnesses, Latter Day Saints, Oneness
  Pentecostals

• He believes the truth about Jesus.

• He has obedient faith.

• He is religious (Acts 826-39)
• So are Muslims, Hindus, and Jews (Acts 1722,23)
• Many go to church and pay their tithe (Luke
  189-12)
• Christians are to BE religious (Acts 242)

• He has good morals (Acts 101,2,22)
• So do Muslims, Hindus, Jews, Mormons, etc.
• So do those who base their salvation on false
  standards (Acts 1114
• Christians choose to live morally, as an act of
  obedience, as a matter of faith (Philippians 48)

• He is sincere

• One cannot be a true Christian without sincerity

• But sincerity doesnt wash away sins or keep us

  purpose.
