  • ARES has delivered materials and provided
    installation labor
  • Installed or delivered ham radio gear to
  • All 14 RCH hospitals
  • plus
  • Emory Johns Creek - Johns Creek
  • Northside Hospital - Atlanta
  • For a total of 16 hospitals equipped

Each Regional Hospital now has
  • 2 - 1/2 LMR-600 coax lines
  • 1 - Diamond X50NA antenna (2 meters / 3/4 meter)
  • 1 - BW Inverted Vee HF antenna (1.8 - 30 MHz)
    mast kit
  • 1 - Kenwood TM-D700 VHF/UHF radio
  • 1 - Kenwood TS-480SAT HF radio
  • 1 - West Mountain DC-to-GO with RigRunner 8
    PWRGate
  • 1 - 75 AH AGM sealed battery
  • 1 - Astron RS-35M power supply with meters

By the end of summer 2008 we should have . . . .
A pre-trained ARES team for each of the 14
Regional Coordinating Hospitals with a defined
operating position and antenna ready to go.
Training will be done locally by the EC and the
hospital.
