Licensing and protection

• Different types of locks
• Hardware lock dongle USB or parallel port
• Hard disc lock locks to specific hard disc on
  the computer
• Netware lock either with dongle or hard disc.
• Hardware lock can be installed on any number of
  computers.
• Hard disc lock on one computer but can be
  removed from Chaos and replaced on another
  computer.
• Netware lock the license can be checked out
  from Topocad/Mapsuite

Pricing and maintenance

• Topocad and Mapsuite has, in general, the same
  pricing.
• Two maintenance periods
• April 1 March 31 for all licenses purchased
  April 1 to September 30
• October 1 September 30 for all licenses
  purchased from October 1 to March 31.
• You always have 7 to 12 months free maintenance
  after initial purchase.

Pricing and maintenance

• Maintenance fee is 20 of the product value.
  Product value is the current product price, no
  discounts.
• Maintenance fee is charged in October 1 or April
  1 depending on the period.
• As a dealer, you will have a list of all your
  customers licenses that should be prolonged, in
  September/March.

Pricing and maintenance

• Licenses that are two versions behind current
  version (as today Mapsuite 3.x or Topocad 7.x)
  can be upgraded for 50 of the product value.
  (20 maintenance 30 upgrade)
• Licenses that are three versions behind (as today
  Mapsuite 2.x or Topocad 6.x) can be upgraded for
  80 of the product value. (20 maintenance 2 x
  30 upgrade)
• We dont support older licenses.

• Topocad 10 release in December 2007.
