Introduction
  • This site is divided into 2 areas
  • Public area is available to all users and
    contains introduction, background information,
    references, experimental procedures, and contact
    information.
  • Members section requires registration and allows
    experimental results to be uploaded to the NADP
    database for correlation with other sites.

Navigation
  • Move through the site using the Main Navigation
    Bar on the left side of the page.
  • Clicking on a main heading will open the first
    sub-page in that group, choose the next or any
    other from the expanded sub-list.

Public Area
  • Background and introductory information can be
    found in the About NADP section.
  • Descriptions and procedures for the collection
    experiment can be found in the Resources
    section.
  • Other research sources are listed under Links.

Registration
  • To register as a member with NADP, select
    Register on the navbar and complete the 2-page
    form.
  • Be sure to click Submit and confirm before
    moving on.
  • This saves your contact information and generates
    a login and password to access the members
    section.

Login
  • NADP will contact you by email with your username
    and password. Please respond to this email if
    youd like to customize either or both.

Navigate to the Member Login page and enter the
username and password. Remember that both are
case-sensitive. This brings you to the Members
section.

Members Main Menu
  • This page provides links to upload information
    about collection groups, sites, and results to
    NADPs database, after skydust has been
    collected.
  • Links must be followed in order the first time
    through. Afterwards, changes and updates can be
    made in any order.

Main Menu Add a Group
  • Enter information about a group performing the
    collection experiment.
  • Repeat with a different name to enter multiple
    groups.
  • Return to the Main Menu when saved, using the
    link on the top-right or the Navbar.

Main Menu Add a Site
  • Enter information about a site where the
    collection is performed.
  • Repeat with a different name to enter multiple
    sites.
  • Range and bearing can be from a home base point
    otherwise enter 360 and 0.
  • Return to Main Menu when finished.

Main Menu Add a Collection
  • Select the group and site for the collection and
    give it a name.
  • Enter relevant information, and when other is
    selected, provide description in comments.
  • Click Submit Collection, this will bring you to
    the Add Observation page.

  • Select the equipment used to view and identify
    the collection.
  • Name the Atlas file you want to upload to.
  • Quantity can be grains per cm2, in2, or other.
    Please describe what quantity refers to in the
    comments box. e.g. moth scales / in2, or total
    mg collected.
