Well-Being According to Youth
  • ...not being anchored by past hurts or
experiences, but being emotionally healthy enough
to push past these anchors in order to maintain
    positive relationships within their
community which they can go to for resources and
    support.
  • .refers to one's social, emotional, physical,
and psychological health. It is a term that
reflects a person's health in accordance to the
aforementioned. Good "well-being" may be secured
    through proper exercise, education, permanent
connections, friendships, support networks, and a
slew of other dimensions that promote happiness
    and satisfaction within an individual.

4
Well-Being According to Youth
  • needs to be holistic. Well-being should cover
all areas of safety (physical, mental,
emotional), and the process must be youth driven.

5
Well-Being According to YOU
  • Mary Lou Easter that there is a reasonable
expectation that you will be fed, clothed,
    housed, and emotionally supported
  • Julie Ohm Chang that a youth gets a job or
goes to college AND doesn't hesitate when they
are asked to fill in emergency contacts.
