18NOTE Grinding down the occlusals!!!!!!
19- It is very important to grind down the occlusals
of all teeth, but not until the teeth have been
shaped, butted to the ridge and the access hole
drilled. The final thickness should not exceed 2
mm. If the teeth are left in full contour, your
high speed handpiece and drill will not fit thru
the clinical height of the teeth and you wont be
able to mark the bone with the tip of your drill
bit. Defeats the purpose of the stent if not
final contoured correctly.
