ESSENCErather thanSYSTEM
9
APPROACH IS IMPORTANT
10
Imitating Models
  • For the last 10 to 20 years, we have tried to
    imitate models
  • It seems easier to imitate a model
  • No one has successfully reproduce a model
  • It has created much frustration
  • It has created an unhealthy emphasis on
    super-churches

11
Problems With Imitating Models
  • We presume that models are supra-cultural
  • By imitating models we lose our uniqueness
  • It is really very hard to imitate a model

12
Principles rather than Models
13
The Principle Approach
  • Principles rather than Models
  • Life rather than Methods
  • Goals rather than Materials
  • Essence rather than Systems

14
Releasing Gods Resources for Growth
15
  • (Mark 426-29) "He also said, "This is what the
kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on
the ground. (27) Night and day, whether he sleeps
or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he
does not know how. (28) All by itself the soil
produces grain--first the stalk, then the head,
then the full kernel in the head. (29) As soon as
the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it,
    because the harvest has come.""

16
  • (John 155) "I am the vine you are the
branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he
will bear much fruit apart from me you can do
    nothing."

17
The Cell System
18
There Are Variety Of Systems
  • There are many systems of Cell Churches in the
    world.
  • Each system is good, but systems are not
    universal.
  • We need to learn from systems
  • The SYSTEM is not the ESSENCE
  • The key is the ESSENCE DNA Indispensables

19
Systems Are Important
