Mission of Heifer International

• non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated
  to ending world hunger and caring for the earth
  by providing livestock, trees, training and other
  resources to help struggling families around the
  globe

Organization Focus

• Heifer International is a humanitarian
  organization that partners with groups such as
  UNICEF, Red Cross, and UNAIDS to fulfill the
  efforts of the ONE Campaign the campaign to make
  poverty history.
• Heifer International is supported by world
  leaders like former President Bill Clinton as
  means of ending world disease, poverty, and
  hunger, one family at a time.

Making a Difference

• Heifer International focuses on the following, in
  an effort to make positive difference in the
  lives of individuals worldwide
• Nutrition Milk, eggs, harvests, etc. provided
  healthy lifestyles
• Income Provide livestock training in farming
  techniques microenterprise

• Community Development Heifer groups with
  communities to discuss issues like education,
  health nutrition
• Passing on the Gift Offspring of animals
  techniques for raising livestock are passed on
  within Heifer communities

• Education Income generated from Heifer livestock
  is used to send youth to school to pay for
  school supplies
• Housing Income from Heifer animals often makes
  home improvements construction possible for the
  first time

• Produce a calf yearly up to 4 gallons of milk

Water Buffalo (250) Provide milk, fertilizer,
pulling power for farming

  Jan. 22nd to Mar. 16th
• Coins for Cows Collect change at lunch Feb.

• Cookies for Cows Bake sale during lunch Mar.
