• We would therefore suggest a conclusion iii under
  section 10 Summary of conclusions / c) PBT/vPvB
  for the following reasons
• DecaBDE is found ubiquitously in the environment
  in marine sediments, in soils as well as in the
  remote atmosphere, including the Arctic. The
  substance is also found in top predators, in
  particular in terrestrially based food webs.
• DecaBDE give rise to a range of the concerns
  described in the opening paragraph of the PBT
  assessment in the EU TGD. First, the effects of
  accumulation of these substances are
  unpredictable and would be difficult to reverse.
