  • He is a photographer.
  • He was born in June 22,1897 in a place called
    Wurzburg Germany, and he died in 1966.
  • He was part of the movement called Neue
    Sachlichkeit, or in English New Objectivity.

More About Albert
  • After his teenage years, he decided to join the
    army. That didnt last for more than 2 years.
    Since he was still young he decided to go to
    college and study chemistry. Later on he got he
    professional started by making images for 2
    books in a series called The World of the
    Plants.
  • His most famous work was a book called The world
    is beautiful, which was done in 1928.
  • His first museum exhibition was in 1927.
  • Many of his photographs come from the college
    courses he took. He took many science classes and
    he took many pictures of plants.

He was in the army for
no more than 2 years during World War 1.

How it all started
  • He was a teenager when he started getting
    interested in photography. His father was an
    amatuer photographer and had the most influence
    of him getting interested in photography.

Anything Unique About His Photography?
  • He had a lot of nature objects and tended to have
    a lot of his pictures be in some sort of pattern.
    There was also a lot of machinery or mechanical
    objects as well. --gt
  • His pictures werent just taken as a full object.
    For example if he took a picture of a glass he
    wouldnt just take it of the glass as a person
    would see it, but he would aim his camera in a
    certain direction of the glass and have a
    different view.

WWII
  • During World War II, his studio got blasted and
    almost 18,000 negatives got destroyed as the
    result.
  • He moved away after this happened.

? World War 2 were the results of the loss of
many negatives.

Other Stuff
  • In 1960 he got the German Society for Photography
    Culture Prize.
  • His Photography is considered Idealism (type of
    art) and is very masculine.
