What is adaptation

• To survive
• Certain features to fit in
• Can make animals go to other places
• Changes take a long time

Orca

• Males measure 9.6m. and weigh 8 to 9 tons,
  females measure 8.2m. and weigh 4 tons
• Live in pods (groups)
• Evolved from a land animal that was like a dog
• Dolphin family

Otters

• Otters are sea water mammals
• Live in Chile and Peru in fresh water
• Were family of badgers, skunks and weasels
• Were land creatures

Sharks

• They live in any ocean of the world
• They are made of a type of bone called cartilage
• Primitive sharks had double pointed teeth
• They have lived before dinosaurs

Dolphins

• Dolphins can go as fast as 20 mph or more
• Dolphins live in all over the world
• A lot of years back dolphins lived on land
• Their fins and flippers used to be legs
