Introduction

• Do you know all about seahorses? They look small,
  cute and very easy to learn about but when youre
  done with this PowerPoint presentation youll be
  shocked!

Welcome to the world of seahorses!!!

What does it look like?

• A seahorse is type of fish that range in size
  from 16mm-35cm.
• It is also an endangered species and guess who
  its enemies are. HUMANS!!
• The colors of the seahorse is yellow and some are
  transparent in their own way.

Where does it live?

• Seahorses live near shore in relatively shallow,
  complicated habitats. Complicated habitats have
  lots of stuff in them--stuff to hold onto, hide
  behind or blend in to. That stuff might be
  eelgrass, kelp, coral, rocks, mangrove roots,
  etc. To keep a seahorse happy, these complicated
  habitats should be in tropical or temperate seas.
  Finally, seahorses like it salty. As far as we
  know, there are no freshwater seahorses.

What does it eat?

• Seahorses eat larval fishes, amphipods and brine
  shrimp. Although the seahorse is a small animal
  they can eat a lot of food.  A seahorse can eat
  up to 3,000 brine shrimp each day.  Seahorses do
  not have mouths, therefore, they have to swallow
  their food without chewing it.  Can you picture
  what would happen if we swallowed our food
  without chewing it?
